Built on the site of Pleasant Grove, a family owned and
operated marina, bait shop, boat ramp and rental
cottage compound, the first Phase of Harborside was finished
in 1975.
Designed to provide a carefree and affordable way to enjoy
Indiana’s largest natural lake, the initial phase was quickly
sold out. Subsequent phases were developed over the next
several years and the complex grew to 40 units. Constructed
with the look and feel of traditional lake cottage
architecture, the complex blends into the shoreline providing
an aesthetically pleasing appearance to passersby on the lake.
Many of the original oaks, maples, hickories and poplars
continue to stand providing a traditional look and welcome
shade in the summer months.
Harborside has been a very stable community with some original
residents continuing to call it home. In addition, several
families have handed down the traditions of living at
Harborside to subsequent generations of happy children and
grandchildren. The community is a balanced blend of year-round
and summer residents. Owners from as far away as Arizona or as
nearby as Goshen enjoy the fun filled and relaxing lifestyle
at the lake.
The Harborside Board continues to invest in the assets of our
community resulting in a beautifully maintained complex which
